02/08/2019 North Brookfield Savings Bank Hires Richard Kowal as Senior Vice President and Senior Commercial Lender
North Brookfield Savings Bank is pleased to announce the hiring of Richard Kowal as Senior Vice President/Senior Commercial Lender of the Bank’s Business Center headquartered in Ware.
“Rick’s comprehensive background and extensive knowledge in the commercial lending industry strengthens our Business Center, allowing us to continue to grow our commercial presence within Massachusetts and Connecticut,” said North Brookfield Savings Bank President and CEO Donna Boulanger. “I am confident he will be instrumental in helping our business customers to obtain the financing that best suits their needs.”
Rick Kowal, a resident of Belchertown for 23 years, joins North Brookfield Savings Bank following the retirement of Anthony Piermarini, Senior Vice President/Senior Commercial Lender. A seasoned veteran in Commercial Lending, he will be responsible for supervising and assisting the Commercial Loan Team to grow the Bank’s commercial assets through new commercial loan and deposit generation. He will expand North Brookfield Savings Bank name recognition for commercial business and additionally, he will develop relationships with customers, guiding them to other valuable deposit, residential mortgage and bank products that will help them to financially succeed.
Kowal will be primarily based out the North Brookfield Savings Bank Business Center located at 40 Main Street on Route 9 in Ware. However, he will travel throughout Massachusetts and into Connecticut to meet and discuss banking options with current and prospective business customers.
Kowal most recently served as Vice President of Commercial Lending at Country Bank and prior to that served as Senior Vice President of Commercial Lending at New England Bank, now United Bank. With 32 years of professional banking experience, Kowal is a graduate of Western New England University and was the 2009 Center for Financial CT Training Teacher of the Year. Kowal serves as an Instructor, and is a pending Board Member, for Junior Achievement and is an active volunteer with Habitat for Humanity.
