2010 Annual Report

A Letter From the President

To our valued customers and community members,

I am pleased to report that North Brookfield Savings Bank continues to be in sound financial condition, having completed a successful 2010. The Bank enjoyed strong asset growth, increased profitability and continues to outperform its peer group in terms of financial results.

At North Brookfield Savings Bank, we have always put the best interests of our customers first. We strive to offer the very best products and services and we work hard to provide consistently excellent service at each point of contact. Whether you come into one of our branches, bank online, or need to call us for a little assistance, you can be confident that one of our capable and dedicated employees will listen and provide solutions.

In 2010, we addressed the need in our market for commercial lending services from a local, responsive bank that understands the challenges facing businesses today. In the fall, we added two very experienced commercial lending officers. Their role is to assist our local businesses with their financing needs and to contribute to the growth of the Bank's business lending and commercial real estate portfolios.

Our customers who are buying or building homes or refinancing mortgages will also benefit from our newly expanded residential lending services, as we have been approved to offer FHA and VA loans in addition to MassHousing loans and conventional mortgage financing options.

We help people save for the future, buy their first cars and buy their first homes. We finance new businesses and help existing businesses to expand. We work with customers to turn their dreams into reality.

As part of the fabric of our community since 1854, we understand the role we play within our local community. We believe that being a responsible business includes being a good corporate citizen and friend to the community. That's why we work to enhance and enrich our region by bringing jobs, new opportunities, and vitality to this community that we share.

We are proud to invest in our community's growth and prosperity and we are thankful that our employees are as committed as we are. In addition to the monetary support that the Bank provides, our employees also give generously of their time to support many charities and local organizations.

North Brookfield Savings Bank's financial strength and profitability provide the necessary foundation for us to continue to support the needs of our community. I am happy to report that the Bank is well positioned for the future. While economic challenges remain, there is evidence that the economy is regaining its footing. Going forward, I am hopeful that our economy will be back on a moderate growth pace, one that ensures the financial health of our customers and our communities.

I thank the Board of Trustees, the management team and all the North Brookfield Savings Bank employees for their efforts in making 2010 a success.

Sincerely,

Donna L. Boulanger
President & Chief Executive Officer
